Week 1

LECTURE

 In the first week, we were briefed about this class and why we need to use photoshop. Photoshop helps us to express our creativity and create graphic design by using a lot of tool such as brush tool and color changing mode.

 Also, teacher gave us some tips of this class: follow the tutorials, experiments, memorize shortcut keys, organize the files and so on.

Description:  When I saw it for the first time, it looked delicious even though it is a book.  Also, it is a unique idea that makes stuff resemble foods. That is why I like this poster. This graphic expressed: ・This poster expresses that people always absorb knowledge just like eating foods and absorbing nutrients. ・The color sprinkles might mean the content and knowledge of the book. ・The background color blue expresses summer.

Description:  This is an interesting design because the record looks like a pool and the people keep lane. Furthermore, I felt the contrast between people in the lane and a person who swims in front. I think the person expresses freedom. This graphic expressed: ・Many people keep their track and it may express the majority in society. ・Woman in front has her own personality, therefore she is drawn bigger than others. ・The record means the flow of time.

Description:  This graphic design made an impression by synthesizing a real photo and illustration. The size contrast between the buildings, the monster, and the people is interesting. This graphic expressed: ・The monster looks sad and isolated, because the people don’t care.  ・The people in this photo don't notice the monster behind them. I think it means people tend to turn away from abnormalities. ・The girl drawn in this photo looks kind enough to care about the monster. I think this means there is someone who understands you.
